    I purchased a pair of Wallace Oxfords in dark oil suede with red rubber soles. This shoe is one of the best if not the best shoe I have ever worn. It is constructed in such a way that it will accomodate thick winter socks as well as dress socks. I have walked many miles in these shoes, from working in the clinic, feeding my horses at the barn to being on the side of the interstate and having to walk for assistance, these shoes have held up superbly. They are a hardy shoe, one that takes much hard wear. Everything from the roomy toe area to the non-slip red rubber sole and the non-slipping leather shoe laces, nothing slips--it all holds snugly and sturdy. I've gotten everything on them from water to barn yard mud and all I have done is brush them off and they continue to look great. I need a strong, sturdy good looking shoe that can take some punishment and the Wallace Oxford is the shoe. Without a doubt.
