There's a hole in my boot

"I bought a pair of Men's Austin Inside Zip in Dark Ash Suede from the FRYE Amazon store a year ago. The other day I discovered a large hole in the sole of the right boot. These are not my every day boots or used in extreme circumstances and so i'm a bit disappointed that they've worn through to this extent in the space of a year. But ok, i guess i'll just get them fixed at my trusted boot place and install rubber soles. Turns out the cobbler says it'll cost me $300 because the welt is also worn beyond help. So now i'm really disappointed because i bought Frye thinking "ok, they are synonymous with quality and these will be proper rugged boots to last a lifetime". But now my repair bill on $370 boots is $300 in just over a year. I love boots and I really thought i'd graduated with Frye but now i'm left with a useless pair and I'm disinclined to spend almost the price of the boot repairing them, one year in. It's extremely rare i feel compelled to complain about things like this and I always consider 'you get what you pay for' but in this case I feel shortchanged by the quality for price."

I wish this food was

"I wish this food was offered in a woman and I wish it was offered a women’s size. The eighth is way too big and that’s the last size that was available. Very disappointing. !"

Great quality, but had a zipper issue

"I bought these boots for the Cowboy Carter tour and the quality was really nice — they look great and feel solid. But when I got them, the zipper was stuck halfway and really hard to move. I didn’t have time to return them, so I had to take them to a shoe repair shop to get the zipper fixed just so I could wear them in time. For a boot that costs over $200, I expected everything to work out the box. I still like the boots, but that part was frustrating."

I’ve been waiting a long,

"I’ve been waiting a long, long time for these suckers. Don’t even know if I can pull them off, but I’m gonna try. Frye delivers. I’m surprised how much ankle support they have, and how comfortable they are. Strongly recommend. It’s a crying shame I’ve never encountered them outside of the internet. Nothing like these at Boot Barn. On sizing: I wear an 11 or 10. 5, just depending on the brand. I started with an 11 but then exchanged them for a 10. 5, and they’re spot on."

I've had these before. I'm

"I've had these before. I'm not feeling the quality of these pair. What happened to that rich dark cognac color? These are more brown and the leather is quite rough."

"The Austin Inside Zip is a great addition to my arsenal of Frye Harness, Engineers, Wing Tips and Work Boots. I have been wearing Frye for over 40 years. . . always comfortable, always hip, always cool. . ."

Horrendous construction

"Absolutely horrendous zippers for close to $400 shoes. Am having to pay $150 to get the zippers fixed that frequently get dislodged, stuck, teeth broken. You gotta do better!"
