"I ordered these shoes not even a year ago, have worn them occasionally & the sole is already breaking apart like the glue used to stack it is faulty or something. I have a pair of vintage Frye boots that are thicker leather around the calf, the soles of my vintage pair are undeniably better quality. I wouldn’t recommend for the price paid, I’d expect longer duration or products. Seems like quality is not the same."
"These are my go-to favorite boots! They pair well with knee socks and skirts for fall and look equally amazing with jeans or pants. I absolutely love them and have worn them constantly since ordering them. Super comfortable, too! I have the red color and have gotten so many compliments on them."
"I was very disappointed to see the amount of dark veining all over the leather. It was horrible. Not at all as I thought was pictured. If you zoom in you can see see a tiny bit on the website but in person it can be hideous. I wish they were all one color leather but this feature can go horribly wrong depending upon what they send. I will be returning unfortunately. I really looked forward to these boots being a solid color."
"After much research of boots, I fell in love with the Dark Brown Kate Pull on Boots. I received a pair for Christmas and boy were they beautiful when I first got them. I wore them only in perfect weather and they were stored mostly in their box in my closet in a 68 degree house. I wore them once with a pair of wide leg jeans and another time with shorts. Well… after these two wears I noticed that my boots started turning a reddish brown in splotches on the front. I didn’t see anywhere online reviews about this happening to the boots and I reached out to customer support wondering if maybe I got a defective pair or something? A batch that wasn’t dyed properly? I was told that outside the 30 day there was no warranty or quality control and was advised to use a leather conditioner and water proofing spray to help prevent further damage. Using leather conditioner on the boots only started removing more dye. I asked customer support for help and was told “It looks like your pair may have had a defect, especially since the dye came off during spot testing. As I explained earlier, we do not have warranty and the return window has passed, so we no longer able to offer an exchange. However, there are independent leather repair specialists who may be able to stabilize or restore the boots without causing more damage. ” My advice if you’re looking to buy a pair of boots from here is to research carefully, read the fine print, and purchase a pair of boots from another company that offers better quality control."
"Absolutely LOVE this boot!! I found true to size and I’m a wide width - 7. 5 is my typical size but I read reviews that said ran small so I sized UP to an 8 which was too big. Did an exchange for 7. 5 which was EZ PEEZY. Now I’m waiting for them to arrive! I feel they will fit perfectly!"
"Absolutely beautiful boot. I own several pairs of Frye boots, all in size 7. 5. Unfortunately, these run about half to a full size larger. I have wider feet with a high arch, so I’m used to some initial resistance, but I slipped these on with ease. My heel lifted as I walked (as another reviewer mentioned), and I had about an inch of extra room in the toe. I also measured the sole against my Campus 14L boots in Banana, and the Kate is definitely about ½ inch longer. I’m exchanging for a size 7, though I’m a bit worried they may end up being too small."
"While these boots are BEAUTIFUL, I have to say I was disappointed by the fact that the heel practically fell apart after little use. The heel is HOLLOW!!! Considering how expensive they are, I did not expect that. For long wear they can get uncomfortable, they're also kind of heavy, and gave me pinky blisters (which could be due to me not wearing thick enough socks). And don't wear them in rainy/wet weather!"
"Love them! Similar to the campus boot but heel is 1/2in higher and has a muted design on the shaft. I have the campus boot in banana. These are to replace the harness boot i had in black that were about 30 years old. Very happy with this purchase. I love Frye, the quality is the best."
