Received damaged, cracked boots
"This is my second time purchasing from Frye after I loved my first pair so much… These boots feel crackly, look splotchy, and wet. It looks obviously worn or previously used. The packaging was terrible, barely taped together, and the box was falling apart. Extremely disappointed with the lack of quality control. Now this color is sold out of my size, very disappointed."

Expected better for price. Arrived
"Expected better for price. Arrived with loose threads and dry leather. One boot slightly larger than the other. They do look nice on, but I don’t have high hopes they were built to last. Could be better to get a pair of Miranda’s even though they are synthetic. The calf shaft fit well. Was actually a few inches wider than the description, so no need to get the wide version."

Cheaply Made
"Frye boots aren’t how I remember from pre 2014. I was really surprised how light the weight of the boot was, not heavy and sturdy and good quality like I remember from Frye. Quality seemed similar to the Frye dupe boots I bought a couple years ago that were only $60. These are certainly not worth the $300+ price tag, I can’t believe people pay $500."

from the photo the color
"from the photo the color should be a pale dusty green ("eucalyptus" as it's called) but in fact it is just a pale light tan, barely any color at all. and the quality is far inferior (thinner leather and slick smooth soles) from the Campus boots I have from years ago. I was so excited about these boots and saved and waited a long time to get them. bummer."

I ordered this boot twice
"I ordered this boot twice and it was defective both times. I did not receive my money back after I returned both pairs. I had to call weeks later and the customer service agent manually issued my refund. Had I not called, Frye would've kept my money even though I returned both pairs. Shady business practices and their boot quality has significantly decreased. I have the original campus boots and these are not it. Strongly would not recommend."

These boots are incredibly beautiful!
"These boots are incredibly beautiful! I ordered a 9.5. The right boot was fine; i could not get my foot through the ankle part of boot so I think the boot was defective. However, i have the same boot in a different color in size 10. The fit is extra roomy but i decided i like 10 better. My normal size is 9.5 so i will say they run a bit - slim or small. The customer service is amazing and exchange was so easy! I highly recommend these- gorgeous, comfortable - can wear all day! Can’t wait for my exchange!!!!"

Love the quality and look
"Love the quality and look of these boots! I was so ready to splurge and have a pair of Campus boots that I could wear for years to come. Unfortunately, despite reading tons of reviews and liking the initial fit, the leather stretched a full size too big by the second wear so they just flop around on my feet and I can't wear them comfortably even with thick socks. :("

I was not able to
"I was not able to try these on as I was in the hospital when they arrived. However, when I did have the opportunity the 30 day return policy had expired. I had no choice but to keep them. I was extremely dissatisfied to find what felt like small rocks in the right boot heel. I took them to my local shoe repair. He looked at them and discovered the right heel literally had 5 nails sticking up ( under the leather) and he couldn’t believe it himself. He made the comment that considering Frye is known for their craftsmanship this was totally unacceptable and I should never have received a pair of boots that had NAILS sticking up from the heel. I love Frye boots and actually own another pair and I still have a pair from the ‘70’s ( so that should tell you about the confidence I have with this company). My confidence is somewhat iffy at this stage of the game. I will say they are beautiful in appearance but I should never have had to deal with such crappy workmanship."

"Beautiful boots and very well made, but I’m disappointed in the fit. I owned the Frye Campus boots years ago and loved them. These are noticeably much wider through the upper shaft than my original pair. The tops are so roomy that they flop back and forth against my legs when I walk. I know my memory of the original fit isn’t simply because my legs were larger then—in fact, when I owned my original pair I weighed about 105 pounds and my legs were even thinner than they are now. The original boots still fit properly without this excessive looseness. They’re beautiful boots, and the quality seems excellent, but I wish Frye had kept the proportions of the original Campus boot. For someone with slimmer calves, the current fit may be much too wide."

I used to love everything
"I used to love everything from Frye. It has been almost 10 years since the last time I bought from them. When I got these boots, I was just shocked by how cheap they looked."
