Feels Like Fake Leather

"I love the Frye brand. My last purse was a small hobo that was a gift from my husband that I used for over two years. The straps started to show wear so I purchased the Campus Crossbody in a nutmeg color. The quality and construction are nothing like my older bag. I am thinking Frye changed manufacturing to save money and the bags show. I am very disappointed and looking for a new version of my old bag. Might have to go to vintage to get same Frye quality that I am used to."

poor construction

"The 1st time I used my purse. I walked about 25 yards from my car in the parking lot of my work, and my new bag fell to the ground. The hardware at one end of the strap separated, the clasp from the ring."

Zipper is terrible

"I looked at this bag for a very long time. Finally bought it as a birthday gift to myself last September. I got the green and it is lovely. However, the zipper is terrible. When opened completely, it gets stuck on the fabric. I tried stitching it back by hand but that didn't work. Disappointing in such a nice bag. So....it pretty much stays on the shelf of my closet and I rarely use it. If you are going to spend this much money for a bag, it should be better constructed."
