Mishandled by Frye Customer Service technology
"Mixed emotions about writing this review, because I have been a loyal Frye customer for many years, however their customer service was recently an epic fail and they accepted no responsibility. I was given incorrect direction by their automated customer service attendant, or AI tech. Put through many unnecessary actions which wasted hours of my time and money. When eventually handled by a live person after several escalations, I was told the AI tech did not interpret their policy fully to me and I was not allowed to do the exchange for a smaller size that the AI tech directed me to process. I have no problem with the policy, rather this was a case of mishandling the customer through use of automated customer service technology. You can do better Frye. Be accountable."
Color not as pictured
"This is my first Frye purchase and I was really excited to get the boots. The leather quality is exceptional, very soft. The boots are generally comfortable, although they fit a bit loose at the ankle for my regular size. The issue I have is the color. The smoke color is more pale in person and has green undertones, not the nice neutral as it looks online. I will be returning and having to pay shipping both ways."

I paid over $500 for a pair of boots that are already creased and cracking above the toes from wear. I'll never buy another pair of Frye's as long as I live. What a scam."

I ordered the Harness 8R
"I ordered the Harness 8R in my size, which is normally 6 1/2. While the width fit comfortably, my feet were sliding inside. I exchanged it for a size 6, and they're perfect. A little narrower, but not tight. Have to break them in. Frye Customer Service was very helpful (Thanks, Michael!). I didn't have to return the first pair and buy the second; I simply exchanged sizes. I printed out a return label, shipped the first pair back to Frye, and received the size 6 pair one week later. I did not have to pay shipping or additional fees. These boots are fabulous! Top-notch quality, perfect heel size, and gorgeous color (Smoke)! Very comfortable out of the box, but I know they'll feel more confortable the more I wear them. Yes, they're pricy, but if you take care of them, they'll last a lifetime. So, I also got the Waterproof Balm."

"This is the second pair of Frye 8R harness boots I've had in 30 years. I would still have my first ones if they weren't lost to a fire. If I have 20 years left, these are coming with me. . . awesome boots."

"Love love love this boot! I do have the harness 8 r in another color but had to have the cognac! Very rich color, beautiful leather and craftsmanship. I am partial to the Harness and boots made in the USA. Classics never go out of style. Bravo once again Frye!"
