Boots are great! Laces absolutely

"Boots are great! Laces absolutely suck. Description said leather laces. Picture showed light gray nylon laces. That's how they came. Who puts light gray laces on jet black boots with dark brown and black soles? Ridiculous! Two customer service reps said they would come with leather laces. Apparently their boss said no and refused to send me a pair of $10 laces for boots I paid $350 for. Very poor customer service in my opinion."

I bought this product because

"I bought this product because the company says the following "Frye Company" is an American manufacturer of shoes, boots and leader accessories. However, the boots litterially say made in Mexico on them. Do not buy if you are trying to support local companies."

Exceptional quality - the leather

"Exceptional quality - the leather looks and feels amazing. They’re a little bit heavy, but in the best way. I personally feel they’re especially true to size, no need to order up. Just enough room in the toe box. 10 out of ten."

The material seems great. It

"The material seems great. It also looks very well-made and sturdy. The only downside and I'm not sure why is that ONLY the black color comes with fabric laces and the rest have leather laces. And there is no option to change it hence 4 stars. The fabric laces look a bit unintegrated in my opinion."

I delayed buying this boot

"I delayed buying this boot because I felt it was priced too high. I need an EE or EEE width, and these boots are only a medium width, so they probably won't fit me anyway. I finally gave in and purchased a pair just to satisfy my curiosity. I was expecting it to be too narrow and uncomfortable, so I ordered a size larger than I normally take, and to my complete delight, these boots fit almost perfectly. They need a little break-in time, but they will only get better with wear. I'm very happy with these boots. They're so sharp-looking, I can wear them as dress boots."

Junk. I've purchased better boots

"Junk. I've purchased better boots for half the price. First purchase, other than buying my wife's, and they suck. Footbeds are different on each boot, stitching is frayed, leather laces are already worn out. Won't purchase again."

The quality is great. I

"The quality is great. I like the boot (but with caveats). It looks more color-saturated in the ad than it does in real life. The heel strap hitches on the trouser leg hem. I'd rather have a work boot like that except without speed lace hooks, but the perfect work boot is nearly impossible to find. Almost all have both heel straps and speed lace hooks, or one or the other."

Great fit, easy break-in.

The boots look and fit

"The boots look and fit great. True to size on this particular style. The color was just as pictured and what was looking for. The great leather smell was there, but there was another strange odor that I assume was caused by the distressing treatment. I’m hoping that fades over time."
