"Beautiful colour (kind of dark brown distress as opposed black distressed), but gorgeous. Quality is also good but a little concerned about the base of the boot - the seam almost appears cracked and sloppy? Hoped issue result in the future because of this."

"This is my first Frye purchase, and I absolutely love the quality of the leather and the beautiful Rosa color. The craftsmanship feels excellent. That said, the fit has been challenging. The boots are narrow through the ball of the foot but loose in the heel, and the longer last takes some getting used to. I normally wear a size 7, but exchanged them for a 6. 5, which is still a bit loose. Going any narrower would make the forefoot even more uncomfortable. I’m wearing them daily to break them in, but after three days my feet are very sore. I’m hopeful they’ll soften and mold to my feet over time, but my first impression is that the fit may not work well for everyone."
"Your quality control and customer service is the wotst that i have experienced in many years. I ordered 1 pair of boots for a special trip i planned. Instead of 1 pair i received 2 LEFT FOOT BOOTS! I immediately called your customer service number and someone in a foreign country that barely spoke english answered. They were no help. I asked for a return label to be sent to me. They replied with an email saying that i need to order another pair of boots defore they can send a return label. No satisifaction to this day. I will never buy anything agian from you."
"These are gorgeous boots. They look incredible, they are well made, and they simply they look cool and amazing. That being said the fit has been challenging. I bought 7. 5 which is my size, and the boots fit well in the toe box and across the widest part of my foot. However there has been heel slippage- to where I’ve bought inserts and heel pads to reduce the slippage. I’ve been committed to breaking them in, and hoping that in doing so the heel will begin to form to my foot. That being said, buying these boots is an investment and I’m really hoping that by committing to breaking them in they will actually fit one day and not have heel slippage. My only hope is that the return/exchange policy was better reflective of the realness of the break in period. So yes, the boots are beautiful but the sizing is stressful. Hoping that it works out, fingers crossed."
"I fell in love with these boots about a year ago and finally bought them for myself as a Christmas gift in December 2025. I’ve worn them a few times, and don’t walk a ton in them as I wear them to my office job. Within around 10 wears, the heel of the left boot snapped off. I thought Frye still did a leather stacked heel, my first boots from this company were are still in good shape. I put the heel back on and thought it was a one-off, but was dismayed. The heel has now snapped off several times on both shoes. One time I even had to search for my heel because I didn’t realize it had snapped off WHILE DRIVING, with the tension between the rubber mat and the shoe. Luckily it was right on the mat under the brake. When you pay almost $400 for boots from a company you trust you don’t expect to have your heels embarrassingly fall off all the time, it makes them feel cheap and makes me not want to wear them around others."
"I love the look of these boots but after two years of having them, I rarely reach for them due to the stiffness of the leather. I got my usual size and found that my foots fits well in them but the toes feel tight. I'm hoping I can keep conditioning and wearing them little by little to break them in over time. With that being said, they are super robust with a thick rubber sole that's great for the rain and are overall a solid choice that should last a long time."
"I love the boots. Slip on easily, feel great and bought some conditioner to help break them in. The only issue I have is they look more dark brown than black. But not enough for me to send them back. I look forward to many years of wearing them. I will treasure these for many years to come."
