"I was so excited to get another pair of the Melissa boots but unfortunately these don't live up to how I remember them. They are not flattering on my leg and the standard way too tight. Just a bummer as I was looking forward to a new pair of black boots and I didn't even realize they were final sale :/"

"Great boot. Beautiful leather. I have very wide feet and they are a little snug but nothing that won't work in. Also, my calves measure 16in at the widest and I was worried that might be an issue, but they fit great. I was prepared to be disappointed but I was very happy with the boots."
"I was excited to get these and thought the price was worth it because they’re Frye. Decidedly not worth it. I agree with another reviewer that the quality isn’t as good as expected, but they’re also so uncomfortable to wear! They’re tight in weird places around the foot, and there’s not actually a taper around the ankle (the way it looks in the pictures), so I feel like I’m wearing rain boots! It's the worst. I can understand now why this sale was final and why they keep dropping the price. Super disappointed by my purchase as well. Having a "final sales" should have been a red-flag. My guess is this is a defective batch of boots they're trying to off load onto unassuming consumers. It does feel scammy. Their stuff looks good in pictures and they have a reputation for quality, but it's not worth the price tag. Wish I had read the comments before making this bad investment."

"I'm super disappointed in my boots :(. I tried on my sister's who's slightly bigger and loved them. Her and I both have bigger than avg calves and I measured my calf at exactly 14" which seemed like it would be too tight with socks/jeans so I ordered the wide calf (like my sister's who I tried on and looked great) and these are WAY too wide/big. They look ridiculous on me. Also, the material feels/looks rubbery to me. I bought tan however, I think they are rather dark for a tan. I regret having bought them on final sale as now I can't return them which is really frustrating because it's not like I can go to a store to try them on but since I tried on my sister's I thought it wouldn't be an issue that they were final sale because I wouldn't need to return them. I really want to return or at least exchange them for not the wide calf as they were expensive and will now just be sitting in my closet untouched. :( for reference the bare legged photo is of my sister's - do you see how little the gap is in comparison :("

"Do not buy. Spend the extra $ on the full priced pair of Melissa boots there appear to be seconds or imperfects. Sloppy tailoring, for like thin leather Gollashes. Highly annoyed to find that they are final sale- didn’t realize bc there are other “Melissa” tall button wide calf boots that are NOT final sale."
"Bought the same model of boot, the same size and the same width of calf as my wife’s last Melissa boots. The ones we had before fit perfectly and my wife loved them. We ordered the same boot to replace them and the width of calf was much wider to the point of wanting to exchange them because thy did not look right. I did not realize the boot was marked as sales are final. I was unable to exchange for a smaller size. My wife still loves the quality, but disappointed that the new boots did not fit the same way."
