Disappointing sizing & customer service

"I researched the sizing before purchasing the Paul Venetian specifically because it was Final Sale, and the product page indicated that it runs true to size. Unfortunately, the shoes are about A FULL SIZE too large. I wear an 11 in Nike, Vans, Newbalances and still went down to 10. 5 but these are closer to a 11. 5 I contacted Frye hoping to exchange them for the correct size, but was told no exchange or store credit could be provided due to the Final Sale policy. I understand the policy, but I relied on Frye’s sizing information when making my purchase. . . I was then directed to the Frye Exchange. I otherwise really like the shoes, which makes this especially disappointing. I’d recommend trying them on in person before purchasing, particularly if they’re Final Sale."

"Not the same beautiful leather as most Frye products. I'm just learning that "Frye & Co" is a different brand than the historical Frye, and most products have cheaper build materials and lower quality soles. These are fine by Johnson & Murphy or Floorsheim standards; these are not what I expect from Frye, however."

Not so good

"They are very oversized and cannot be returned. Cannot be worn even with heal pads. I’m a solid size 10 and these are at least 11 1/2. Waste of money. Not what I have come to know and expect of Frye. Make it better please!"

Run Large

"For reference: I'm 5'6", 160lb. I wear a 9. 5 in adidas shoes, 9 in dress. I have pair of Chris Venetian in 9 and they fit perfectly, also a pair of Huckberry's in a 9. Perfect Ordered Paul Venetian in 9, way too large, so swapped for an 8. 5. They still suffer from significant heel slip. That'll probably get better as the leather breaks in, but I am going to try an 8 (when they get back in stock!). Just beware for those with athletic builds or without wide feet. Will update review at that time."

Fire. I normally wear a

"Fire. I normally wear a 10 in vans and 9-9. 5EE in boots. I bought 9. 5. They fit perfect. A bit tight and unwieldy in the heel at first, but the molded to my foot perfectly with about 8hrs of casual wear. I wear them with or without socks and have no trouble walking miles in the city as long as it’s mostly dry. I did give them a coat of boot wax. Leather quality is excellent, casual-business but not actually dressy."
