THE BOOTS ARE BAD AND THE SERVICE IS WORSE

"I ordered these boots in antique black with confidence given that I have multiple pairs of Frye boots, I know my size, and have had great experiences in the past. This time is not reflective of that. For one the boots are terrible. they look and feel cheap. The antique black looks terribly manufactured, and I would comment on the fit if I could pull them on but the pull tab is so small it is unusable. But the worst part of all of this is is have to pay to return these subpar boots. Au Revoir Frye, you had a good run."

Original order was the antique

"Original order was the antique black, but they are more brown than black and look nothing like the pics in the online store. Super bummer. Was hoping it would translate but it didn't. And if you say "that's what they look like after 5 years, then I'll f that". I returned those cause I didn't like the color and they were a little big. On the second try, I went with the black (vintage leather). Not real happy with the finish or look of those either, but maybe they will get better over time. All in, not real happy, and not my fave pair of boots that I was hoping they'd become, but hopeful they wear into something positive. Not sure I'd buy another pair."

Poor Quality Boots & Does not honor Warranty

"I wore the boot for just two weeks and the entire sole fell out. The nails loosened from the leather. I had bought Frye boots for a few years. Maybe the quality grade plummeted. I never had an issue using the warranty and repair option but the most recent time I went, I was called by some overly angry security guy named Steve who claimed that I was intentionally breaking the shoes and that my account was flagged to prohibit returns. I would have filed in court, but I was less than two weeks out from deployment overseas and just didn't have the bandwidth to deal with this. Two hundred bucks and some change wasted."

"I still haven't received the shoes I ordered, there is not customer service representative capable of addressing Frye's error. The boots shipped were dirty, heavily used, and the WRONG style. Shameful"

"ordered Tyler Flex Chelsea and leather on the foot bed was folded over in several places on both boots - very uncomfortable. Submitted return and Frye is charging me $12 to return defective boots. seems like their quality control systems are still not working"
