"I was looking for a good quality, no nonsense, pull-on riding boot, and these delivered. The foot bed is roomy, and the shaft is wide enough to tuck jeans into but not so wide as to look comical. I’ve been wearing Frye boots for over 50 years, and the only issue I had with these boots was the smell, which was bad…. . definitely was NOT the smell of good quality leather."
"I have normal/average calves, but the calves on these boots are huge and gaping. It's not a good look. The boots are otherwise beautiful, but I sadly have to return. I'm usually a size 7, but buy 7. 5 in boots, these fit perfectly, except for the wide shafts."
"The calf was massive, 18" for a standard fit. I tried to return them, but cannot because they were on a sale, while still being $250. No where on the product page, the checkout, or the shipping slip does it mention you cannot return sale items. I'm frustrated to be stuck with expensive boots that I cannot wear. Makes me regret not going through Amazon."

"These boots truly are stunning. I almost returned them because I have a wider calf and these don’t leave any space, but they aren’t tight. I have long legs and these come up to right under the knee. If you are looking for a beautiful, well made riding boot, these are it!"

"Truly the best. I have a pair of short Frye boots that I bought maybe 15 years ago and they are still going strong, but I finally got a pair of tall riding boots to add to my collection. Couldn’t be happier."
