Extremely frustrating and inconsistent sizing
"I have wanted these boots for 10 years and finally pulled the trigger to wear to an upcoming event. I ordered my usual size 8’s which were tight and I struggled to even wear them around the house. I exchanged for the next half size up, and the exchange process was easy. Frye shipped the boots quickly and my 8.5’s arrived in time for my event. I tried on the left boot which fit perfectly. When I tried on the right boot, it was so tight I couldn’t even get my foot in. The heel was too tight and no matter how hard I tried I could not get it on my foot. My husband tried, my mom tried… she wears a smaller size than I do and tried them on and said the right boot felt substantially smaller on the foot. That’s insane for $498 boots. At one point perhaps these were quality but now it’s inconsistent."

I bought these in garnet
"I bought these in garnet a half size up from my normal size. They were gorgeous and they fit great. BUT they were clonky and loudly slapped the back of my calves when I walked and no sock situation would fix it. I sadly sent them back. I’m petite but I don’t think I have really small calves but maybe I need a narrow calf edition? Idk. They were really nice in garnet."

Frye has been really disappointing.

LOVE THE BOOTS - THE SIZE WAS TOUGH
"I was so excited to get these boots! They are gorgeous in person. However after reading sooo many reviews on the sizing (I'm usually between an 8-8. 5) I ordered the 8. They were very snug - tight on my heels and just didn't fit how I'd hoped. I'm exchanging them for the 8. 5 for more comfort and know the leather will stretch a bit when worn a few times. I have a pair of Tecovas Annie's and got the 7. 5 in those so was hoping they'd be similar to that given the reviews of them being a bit big. So - just know they fit different on everyone! If you can can, order 2 different sizes to try and compare if you don't have a store near you like me."
