I have not worn these

"I have not worn these outside the house yet. I have Frye campus boots I bought new in 2010 and I purchased these to wear at my wedding and to replace the old ones. As far as quality goes, these which are stamped “made in Mexico” do not seem to meet the same standards I grew used to with my first pair. The inside seam is exposed and open which does not have the same smooth comfortable finish as my 2010 campus boots that are stamped “made in the USA”. The leather on the new boots inside seems cheap and thin and seems to be bubbling or separating from the outside leather even though I have never worn them other than trying them on. The 2010 USA made fryes have no exposed seams and are finished with thick leather bands on the outside to cover the outside seam- because the seam is on the outside the seam is covered with a thick leather band- after years of walking in them eventually that wore thin and wore out. These have a cheap seeming binding as a “finish” on the sides but I can tell that after some real wear they will destroyed fairly quickly. I was so happy with my first pair of fryes- I wore them to every festival and class through college and they held up to weather and my destructive lifestyle— I just needed to get them worked on once or twice a year. These do not seem like they will last half as long even with consistent care. I bought 9. 5s in 2010 but after reading the reviews I sized a half size up and was happy because they definitely fit differently. Theres a high arch in this pair. If you want nice fryes I would reccomend looking for a gently used vintage pair. It really seems that although their price remains high, the quality has gone down considerably in the past 15 years."

Size Up!

"I really like the style and stitching on these boots. They are well-made and leather is quality, however I am disappointed by the sizing. I have a number of pairs of Frye boots and always wear an 8. My Campus 14L boots are 8 so I ordered these in the same size. . . . and they are tight! Length is ok, but they are tight across the footbed and over the instep. Final sale so I can't exchange them - hoping I can stretch them out. I would recommend going up 1/2 size to full size depending on the thickness of the socks you want to wear them with."

Doesn’t resemble banana color

"The color is more of a Dijon mustard and not so much banana which was disappointing. Not the color I was expecting. True to size I would say. Quality good as I would expect for the price point."

SIZE UP

"Beautiful boots! These are my sixth pair of boots from Frye. This is the only time I have ever had trouble with sizing. Definitely order up a half size. They are much tighter in the foot bed, especially in the heel."

Not a true size !

"The boots are beautiful but be aware that runs small the foot design is very different than the original Campus. I’m size 6. 5 in all boots. I ordered size 6. 5 and are small in the foot bed . I cannot exchange because are not allowed on final sale $300 should be able to exchange for a different size . I’m very sad about this. Please be aware before you order this type of boots"

Awesome boots

"The banana is a great tribute to the many 70’s styles between the muted banana, contrast stitching, piping and western boot top. I didn’t need these but had to have them, went well with my Christmas dress!"
