Bad quality & overprice
"I kid you not ! I wore these one day and it made me question if the boots are real leather because tell me why it looks like the black finish is peeling off, and showing brown color underneath it. The quality of these boots are not as good as they should be. Boots that are over $500 should be premium boots; however, these are not. Also, not a big fan that you can really see the stitching around the bottom edges. In regards to sizing, for me, I have a normal-width foot, and whenever I buy tennis shoes, I never have to size up. So, for me, the boots are true to size. But I would definitely recommend that if you have a narrow foot then size down. And if you have a wider foot, or in the scenario that you tend to buy 1/2 a size to 1 size bigger in running shoes then size up. I had no problems width of the calves. The leg opening are pretty wide on me and I think I have muscular calves so if they don’t fit you, then you just have really really, really really big calves."

Beautiful But Sizing is Horrible
"I knew I was taking a risk by ordering these boots since they were final sale.. which really sucks when your sizing is so inconsistent.. but I’ve been looking at these forever and I finally had enough money. I am a true size 9. I read all the reviews from every site that sells these boots. Did my research. Concluded that my normal size was safe. Annnnnnnd they’re way too big. Thicker socks do not help. My heel slides horribly and my toe box slides. It is very wide. Not one person in any of the reviews mentioned a very wide heel.. most said it ran small. Not this pair. So now I am stuck with a BEAUTIFUL (because they are very beautiful) pair of boots that I really really wanted to fit.. I’m so sad and now I’m stuck with them. And can’t afford another pair. That’s what I get for trusting that the sizing would be true. I mean at least even close. Final sale boots with unpredictable sizing just ends in the customer being unhappy."

Buyer Beware! Sizing is way off!!!
"Before you consider a final sale boot like these…. be aware the sizing of this boot is small and narrow. Not at all like other Kate and Campus boots I own. I am a true size 10 and I could hardly get them on. When I did they were painfully tight and short! The leather was really stiff too. Buyer beware!"

No longer a happy customer
"I've been a huge fan of Frye Boots, however, am very disappointed with this pair. I ordered 5 pair of Frye boots this past year alone. Each one in size 7. 5 and although they vary slightly in fit, this particular boot is NOT true to size. I can not get my foot into the boot. I contacted customer support to see if they would exchange for a larger size and was declined. I sent in a video showing the extreme difference in size and was again declined. I spent $195 for a pair of boots I will never be able to wear. No amount of stretching will get my foot in the boot. I expect better customer service. I understand policies, but I also believe they can be exceptions."

I have not worn these
"I have not worn these outside the house yet. I have Frye campus boots I bought new in 2010 and I purchased these to wear at my wedding and to replace the old ones. As far as quality goes, these which are stamped “made in Mexico” do not seem to meet the same standards I grew used to with my first pair. The inside seam is exposed and open which does not have the same smooth comfortable finish as my 2010 campus boots that are stamped “made in the USA”. The leather on the new boots inside seems cheap and thin and seems to be bubbling or separating from the outside leather even though I have never worn them other than trying them on. The 2010 USA made fryes have no exposed seams and are finished with thick leather bands on the outside to cover the outside seam- because the seam is on the outside the seam is covered with a thick leather band- after years of walking in them eventually that wore thin and wore out. These have a cheap seeming binding as a “finish” on the sides but I can tell that after some real wear they will destroyed fairly quickly. I was so happy with my first pair of fryes- I wore them to every festival and class through college and they held up to weather and my destructive lifestyle— I just needed to get them worked on once or twice a year. These do not seem like they will last half as long even with consistent care. I bought 9. 5s in 2010 but after reading the reviews I sized a half size up and was happy because they definitely fit differently. Theres a high arch in this pair. If you want nice fryes I would reccomend looking for a gently used vintage pair. It really seems that although their price remains high, the quality has gone down considerably in the past 15 years."

Size Up!
"I really like the style and stitching on these boots. They are well-made and leather is quality, however I am disappointed by the sizing. I have a number of pairs of Frye boots and always wear an 8. My Campus 14L boots are 8 so I ordered these in the same size. . . . and they are tight! Length is ok, but they are tight across the footbed and over the instep. Final sale so I can't exchange them - hoping I can stretch them out. I would recommend going up 1/2 size to full size depending on the thickness of the socks you want to wear them with."

Doesn’t resemble banana color
"The color is more of a Dijon mustard and not so much banana which was disappointing. Not the color I was expecting. True to size I would say. Quality good as I would expect for the price point."

SIZE UP
"Beautiful boots! These are my sixth pair of boots from Frye. This is the only time I have ever had trouble with sizing. Definitely order up a half size. They are much tighter in the foot bed, especially in the heel."

Not a true size !
"The boots are beautiful but be aware that runs small the foot design is very different than the original Campus. I’m size 6. 5 in all boots. I ordered size 6. 5 and are small in the foot bed . I cannot exchange because are not allowed on final sale $300 should be able to exchange for a different size . I’m very sad about this. Please be aware before you order this type of boots"

Awesome boots
"The banana is a great tribute to the many 70’s styles between the muted banana, contrast stitching, piping and western boot top. I didn’t need these but had to have them, went well with my Christmas dress!"
