Your quality control and customer

"Your quality control and customer service is the wotst that i have experienced in many years. I ordered 1 pair of boots for a special trip i planned. Instead of 1 pair i received 2 LEFT FOOT BOOTS! I immediately called your customer service number and someone in a foreign country that barely spoke english answered. They were no help. I asked for a return label to be sent to me. They replied with an email saying that i need to order another pair of boots defore they can send a return label. No satisifaction to this day. I will never buy anything agian from you."

Love them but heel falls off

"I fell in love with these boots about a year ago and finally bought them for myself as a Christmas gift in December 2025. I’ve worn them a few times, and don’t walk a ton in them as I wear them to my office job. Within around 10 wears, the heel of the left boot snapped off. I thought Frye still did a leather stacked heel, my first boots from this company were are still in good shape. I put the heel back on and thought it was a one-off, but was dismayed. The heel has now snapped off several times on both shoes. One time I even had to search for my heel because I didn’t realize it had snapped off WHILE DRIVING, with the tension between the rubber mat and the shoe. Luckily it was right on the mat under the brake. When you pay almost $400 for boots from a company you trust you don’t expect to have your heels embarrassingly fall off all the time, it makes them feel cheap and makes me not want to wear them around others."

Great look, a pain to break in

"I love the look of these boots but after two years of having them, I rarely reach for them due to the stiffness of the leather. I got my usual size and found that my foots fits well in them but the toes feel tight. I'm hoping I can keep conditioning and wearing them little by little to break them in over time. With that being said, they are super robust with a thick rubber sole that's great for the rain and are overall a solid choice that should last a long time."

I love the boots. Slip

"I love the boots. Slip on easily, feel great and bought some conditioner to help break them in. The only issue I have is they look more dark brown than black. But not enough for me to send them back. I look forward to many years of wearing them. I will treasure these for many years to come."

I’ve been wearing Frye boots

"I’ve been wearing Frye boots since I’m a teenager and this pair are truly something different. I like the new shape of the toe and the narrow ankle, although it will take a little bit of break-in, which has never been the case before. I generally can’t handle a 2” inch heel but these have much more support than I have ever felt in a pair of boots so they’re very comfortable to walk in. They’re not as “distressed” as they appear online which make them a little dressier looking. This is also my first pair of Frye boots that has absolutely no heel slipping out of the box. I bought my usual size 6 1/2 and they are a tiny bit snugger than my other Frye boots but I think that may be because of the higher heel and shape of the sole. I love mine and would highly recommend!"

Leather on this pair feels

"Leather on this pair feels thin and so much cheaper than the black pair and seemed like left boot was tad larger in size than right all around. Lastly, Frye should consider dust bags again for any boot over $300"
